A prayer to say in times of natural disasters
Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Wildfires, Tornadoes, Floods & More
"Dominion is God's, the Lord of the seen and the unseen, the Lord of creation."
~Baha'u'llah, Kitab-i-Aqdas, para. 11
Naw-Ruz is the first day of a new year for Baha'is and Moslems alike. For Bahai's March 21, 2011 started the year 168 B.E. (Baha'i Era).
"How resplendent the luminaries of knowledge that shine in an atom, and how vast the oceans of wisdom that surge within a drop!" ~Gleanings from the Writings of Baha'u'llah, p. 177

Atoms & Drops
Atoms and drops have been on my mind since the March 11, 2011 9.0 magnitude Tohoku earthquake/tsunami in Japan. Survivors, some virtually on suicide missions, have been resolving issues surrounding several damaged nuclear reactors, as well as finding ways of clearing up incredible miles of wreckage created by the tsunami. Here are a few quotations of Baha’u’llah that bear on the power within atoms, drops and other aspects of material nature.
Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth is a direct evidence of the revelation within it of the attributes and names of God, inasmuch as within every atom are enshrined the signs that bear eloquent testimony to the revelation of that Most Great Light. Methinks, but for the potency of that revelation, no being could ever exist. How resplendent the luminaries of knowledge that shine in an atom, and how vast the oceans of wisdom that surge within a drop!
To a supreme degree is this true of man, who, among all created things, hath been invested with the robe of such gifts, and hath been singled out for the glory of such distinction. For in him are potentially revealed all the attributes and names of God to a degree that no other created being hath excelled or surpassed. .... In this connection, He Who is the eternal King .... hath spoken: "He hath known God who hath known himself."
~Gleanings from the Writings of Baha’u’llah, pp. 177-178
Out of the wastes of nothingness, with the clay of My command I made thee to appear, and have ordained for thy training every atom in existence and the essence of all created things.
~Baha’u’llah, Persian Hidden Words
Consider the civilization of the West, how it hath agitated and alarmed the peoples of the world. An infernal engine hath been devised, and hath proved so cruel a weapon of destruction that its like none hath ever witnessed or heard. .... Strange and astonishing things exist in the earth but they are hidden from the minds and the understanding of men. These things are capable of changing the whole atmosphere of the earth and their contamination would prove lethal.
~Baha’u’llah, KALIMAT-I-FIRDAWSIYYIH (Words of Paradise)
One righteous act is endowed with a potency that can so elevate the dust as to cause it to pass beyond the heaven of heavens. It can tear every bond asunder, and hath the power to restore the force that hath spent itself and vanished.
~Gleanings from the Writings of Baha’u’llah, p 287
